News 2015

It has been a while since Midas has been in the show ring. As Beef 2015 is on we decided to recommence again after taking a year off due to the very severe drought of 2014. Our first show was at Proston where they all behaved themselves with the highlight being Midas Lorna J72 taking Reserve Junior Champion Euro heifer and Midas Windlass J003 taking Reserve Champion Senior Euro cow. Our other players enjoyed places in their respective classes. Our next show was Murgon where all the animals filled a place in their classes with the highlight being Midas Windlass J003 taking out Senior and Grand Champion Euro female.

We also had a second team at the Downlands College in Toowoomba -- a total of 2 heifers. Their first outing was at Pittsworth where Midas Opal K3 won Junior Champion heifer and Midas Opal J076 taking Reserve Champion. The next show was Inglewood where Midas Opal J76 turned the tables and took Junior Champion Heifer with Midas Opal K3 taking Reserve Champion. The Toowoomba Royal Show came next with Midas Opal K3 taking out Calf Champion Heifer and Midas Opal J76 filling second place to the eventual Champion Cow. Midas Opal K3 then stood as Reserve Champion Gelbvieh cow. At this show Midas Rocky J101 was shown for the first time on the downs and took out Champion Gelbvieh Bull.
