Beef/15 Rockhampton

What a great showing of Gelbvieh cattle at Rocky this year. Midas was right in the mix with good results in all classes entered. Midas Windlass K9 came 3rd in her class to a couple of fine heifers. Midas Opal  K3 and Midas Windlass K4 shared the spoils in the 12-15 month female class with K3 prevailing and then going on to claim the Calf Champion Heifer. Midas Lorna J72 presented for the 17-19month class and came 2nd and then became the Reserve Champion Junior Heifer. Midas Windlass J003 then won her class in the 24-30 month class against great opposition and then became the Reserve Senior Champion Cow. In the bull section we had 2 entries in the 17-19 month class and took 1st and 2nd with Midas Rocky J101 firts and Midas J075 second. These 2 then went on to be the Junior Champion and Reserve Junior Champion bull respectively.

There was definitely a great interest in the breed so please contact us if you are interested in bulls, females or genetic packages.

It was great to catch up to the visiting Canadians Darrell & Leila Hickman from Stone Gate Farm Gelbvieh and Eileen Davidson from Davidson's Gelbvieh.
