2022 EKKA

What a great showing of Gelbvieh cattle at the EKKA this year -- 23 nominated and 21 arriving. Midas had a stellar show with 2 entries in the 16-20mth heifer class -- 1 entry in the 20-30mth cow -- 2 entries in the senior bull group.

Midas Emm R31 performed well in the 16-20mth class coming second with Midas Tanya R32 coming in third. Midas Emm then went on to win the Reseve Junior Heifer.

Midas Tanya R010 then came first in her 20-30mth female class and then won the Reserve Senior cow ribbon -- she was heavy in calf performing against cows a year older with calf at foot.

Midas Ruler R24 won his class in the senior bull class and then was crowned with the Senior Champion Bull.

Midas also won the pair of bulls and the breeders group.

I was very pleased with our showing and the way the cattle presented themselves.
