2017 Show Season

Yes once again Gelbvieh has indulged in showing off their cattle at the local shows and are now on their way to the EKKA.

2017 has been a mixed year in the showring with some successes. The season started at Proston with Midas Elsa M09 winning her class 12-15 mths and then Midas Tanya L35 beating Midas Windlass L37 in the older class with Midas Elsa beating Midas Tanya for Reserve Junior champion heifer. Midas Laramie still in working condition performed admirably without success.

Murgon Show the following week produced some success with Midas Windlass winning her class with Midas Tanya third. They also won the pair of heifer class. Midas Elsa and Midas Laramie won ribbons in their class.

Goomeri Show was next with minor placings being the order of the day.

Gayndah Show being an interbreed show was well supported with 12-15 in each class. Midas Laramie came 4th with Midas Tanya and Midas Windlass reaching the front line.

Biggenden Show was the pinnacle as the heifers and bulls were improving each day. Midas Laramie came second in his class to the eventual supreme exhibit. Midas Tanya won her class and eventually the Supreme Female of the show.
